Brooklyn's electro funk phenomenon brings the dance party on their debut EP. A mix of LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip with a blazing horn section and some hip hop sprinkled in for good measure, the EP showcases the band's powerful and original sound that has taken Brooklyn by storm. The future of the party is here.
FutureType is a new 7-piece funk/hiphop electro crew, led by up-and-coming producer Miles Felix (Launch Point Records, co-producer of Game of Thrones Mixtape 2 - produced tracks ft. Snoop Dog,Common, Talib Kweli, Method Man) and featuring members of much-loved Brooklyn bands Kidding on the Square and The Durians. Hot out of the studio and playing jam-packed Brooklyn shows, Future Type mixes retro and futurist funk sounds with hip-hop, jazz and electro, laid down by a live drum, guitar and 3-piece horn section. Future Type has played notable gigs at Mercury Lounge, Brooklyn Bowl, Rubulad, DROM, Brooklyn Bazaar and the Barnes Museum in Philadelphia.
