PUP POWERS THROUGH 250+ SHOWS IN NEW “BACK AGAINST THE WALL” VIDEO
PLAYING WARPED TOUR THIS SUMMER WITH A STOP IN TORONTO ON JULY 17

In late 2013, four best friends that make up Toronto’s PUP swore they’d play at least 200 shows in the new year. Armed with an unforgettable live show and a GoPro camera, the band set off to play over 250 shows throughout 2014. Now, join PUP on the journey and watch as the crowds grow bigger and bigger in their new video for “Back Against The Wall” premiering today courtesy of Noisey.  

When asked about such a hectic year of life on the road, singer/guitarist Stefan Babcock reflects, “I’ve learned that in touring, every day is either the best day or the worst day of your life. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Here’s to a great year of touring and a hundred more.” Be careful what you wish for, Stefan. After returning from their current tour in Australia, PUP will embark on what many call “punk rock boot camp” when they join the Vans Warped Tour throughout July with a stop in Toronto on July 17. Prior to that, they’ll join Restorations for a run of dates in the US with 90s emo legends The Get Up Kids.

Since last year’s release of PUP’s self-titled debut, this ferocious four-piece has truly taken the world by storm. Earlier this month they were nominated for two Juno Awards for Best Album Package and Best Music Video for “Guilt Trip”. The video has also been nominated to the top ten shortlist for this year’s Prism Prize.

Rave reviews of the album and their live show continue to flood in — Noisey declared the album “a perfect ten,” BrooklynVegan calls them “catchy, anthemic and raw as hell,” Consequence Of Sound boasted that “PUP make punk rock effortless” and even The New York Times included PUP as one of their picks for Best Albums of 2014.
