RUSH MIDNIGHT RELEASES DELUXE LP AND ANNOUNCES FALL TOUR WITH LIGHTS

Following the release of his seductive self-titled debut LP in May 2014, Rush Midnight (Russ Manning) has announced a September 30th release of the deluxe version of his album, Rush Midnight, on Last Gang Records. The LP features five previously unreleased tracks, including the hot and heavy, Take Us There, and a scaled-back, ultra-sexy cover of Lykke Li's, Little Bit — both of which premiered yesterday via Stereogum. Later this fall, Manning will be bringing his sultry, bass-heavy synth-pop stylings on the road for a series of tour dates supporting Canadian electro-pop act Lights
While on tour across Europe and Australia in early 2010 with Twin Shadow, Manning began to write songs in two-star hotel rooms and mixing the songs in the van. By 2012, he had discovered a clear voice of New York in the evening; an alter-ego exploration called Rush Midnight. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Manning's influences span from Minneapolis '80s funk group Change, to The Police and Sade.
New York label Cascine released Rush Midnight's debut EP, +1, in October 2012 with production support from George Lewis Jr. Rush Midnight signed with Last Gang Records in early 2014 with the announcement of a debut LP, executive produced by Jesse F Keeler (Death From Above 1979/MSTRKRFT). He quickly gained support from Stereogum, The FADER, Noisey, and many more with release of the first two singles, In Your Room and Closer. Rush Midnight’s co-headlining North American tour this past summer with Nightbox showed audiences his infectious live appeal, only to leave them wanting more. Rush Midnight is now preparing for a string of Canadian and U.S. live shows opening for labelmate Lights, including stops in Montreal, Toronto, New York, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Detroit.
