NEWS: Music Nova Scotia Showcase Stage at ECMW 2013: Call for Submissions


During East Coast Music Week 2013 in Halifax, Music Nova Scotia will present Nova Scotian artists on the Music Nova Scotia Showcase Stage at the Seahorse Tavern, March 8th and 9th. The Music Nova Scotia Showcase Stage provides Nova Scotian artists the opportunity to perform for a target audience of influential industry professionals attending East Coast Music Week, including local, national, and international talent buyers, managers, and media.

The call for submissions is now open and will close on Friday, February 1st at 5:00pm (AST). To apply for this opportunity please submit your information through our online submission form at www.musicnovascotia.ca/ecma.

This call is open to all members of Music Nova Scotia in good standing, however, preference may be given to artists who meet “export ready” or “exporting” status as defined by the Music Nova Scotia Export Development Program (http://www.musicnovascotia.ca/Funding/Export-Development-Program/), and/or have an established team infrastructure and strong professional history.

You must also meet all of the following criteria will be considered for this showcase stage:


1.      Music Nova Scotia membership must be current.
 
2.     Your member profile at www.musicnovascotia.ca must be updated and current to include your new clean URL.
 


If you do not have an updated Music Nova Scotia member profile you will not meet eligibility criteria. If you do not have your username and password to log into the website please email lisa@musicnovascotia.ca and it will be emailed to you.
 
When you are filling out your profile online, be sure to choose a category in the "Change Category" field. This will ensure that you are listed in the directory.

3.     You are a resident of Nova Scotia
You are considered a resident of Nova Scotia if you meet both of the following criteria:
• Primary artist and/or the majority of the group has lived in Nova Scotia for not less than 12 months consecutively.
• Primary artist and/or the majority of the group pay income tax to the Province of Nova Scotia
