NEWS: Halifax Supports Pussy Riot with 2 Benefit Shows This Weekend!

As you may know, back in March, three members of the band Pussy Riot were arrested and charged with hooliganism, after the group staged a performance at Moscow’s Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. The performance was motivated by their opposition to the Russian President and the politics of the Russian Orthodox Church. 

As a result, on August 17th all three members were convicted, equaling two years of imprisonment.

The Pussy Riot Benefit Show, happening this Friday, August 24th, at Michael's Bar & Grill, is Ashley Moran's attempt at helping the imprisoned ladies with their legal fees, as they continue to fight for their freedom.

There was such an amazing response to the show idea, that there has now been a second show added (Aug 25th), in order to incorporate all the bands who wish to take part and support the cause.

100% of this weekends proceeds will go to Pussy Riot!
