NEWS: THE STANFIELDS NEW MUSIC VIDEO FOR "SHIP TO SHORE" PREMIERES ON AUX TV TODAY
There is simply no slowing down for the 2011 East Coast Music Award "Rising Star of the Year" winners, The Stanfields. On the eve of heading out on tour with Gentlemen Husbands and then The Trews, Halifax's The Stanfields are premiering their music video for their new single "Ship to Shore" off their groundbreaking debut album, Vanguard of the Young and Reckless (GroundSwell Music). A highlight date of the tour, The Stanfields will headline Toronto's legendary Horseshoe Tavern on Friday night before heading to Guelph the next day to perform at Hillside Music Festival.
The video features lead singer, Jon Landry, decked out in full army gear fighting for his life in the context of a video game. With lyrics including "Off to fight a rich man's war, like our father's did before" this politically charged song paired with the video is a sure-fire hit with old and new fans of The Stanfields music.
