NEWS: M Fest confirms complete line-up featuring Broken Social Scene, Hey Rosetta!, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, In-Flight Safety and more
Presented by Halifax Pop Explosion (HPX) and Live 105, M Fest has confirmed its complete lineup which includes Broken Social Scene, Hey Rosetta!, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Surfer Blood, Diamond Rings, In-Flight Safety, Carmen Townsend, and Glory Glory.
"The fact that Broken Social Scene, Ted Leo, Surfer Blood, Diamond Rings and Hey Rosetta! feel that this is an event they want to be involved with speaks volumes for respect held around the world for Halifax's music scene, the local fans and bands," claims M Fest organizer and Halifax Pop Explosion executive director, Jonny Stevens. "Pairing such amazing bands from across North America with Halifax based artists who are taking their music around the globe also shows how great things really are in Halifax."
Acts confirmed for M Fest include: shape-shifting indie rockers, Broken Social Scene; critically touted singer-songwriter, Carmen Townsend; Tomlab/Secret City signed synthpop act, Diamond Rings; Polaris Prize nominated, Newfoundland based act, Hey Rosetta!; David Bowie endorsed local favorites, In-Flight Safety; hook driven pop group, Glory Glory (formerly Glory Glory Man United); Florida based pop-rock act, Surfer Blood; legendary Matador recording artists, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists.

Tickets are available on Monday April 11th, 2011 through Ticketpro.ca, their outlets, and by phone at 1-888-311-9090 with exclusive online presale to Halifax Pop Explosion insiders (mailing list and Facebook) for $34.50 (+ $5 ticket service fee) Monday, April 4th, 2011 at 8am. M Fest is open to all ages with a licensed beer garden. Doors for the event open at 1pm with the show starting at 2pm.
