NEWS: Geoff Berner Brings "Victory Party" To Halifax
Vancouver’s Geoff Berner celebrates his Mint Records debut by continuing to expand his sound with his first release since completing the internationally celebrated Whiskey Rabbi trilogy. Berner’s fifth full length studio album “Victory Party” is produced by none other than Josh Dolgin, aka Socalled, an acknowledged genius of modern Jewish music. Famous for his own albums, which fuse hip-hop and klezmer, Dolgin was the subject of a feature film The Socalled Movie, that was released internationally in 2010 by Canada's National Film Board. To anyone that has been following Geoff Berner, it will come as no surprise that he is once again playing all over Canada and Europe in support of his new album. “Victory Party” was released on March 8th and while the party itself has already started it promises to keep going. Everyone is welcome to drop in whenever they can.
