The Gay Nineties Announce Fall Tour With Mounties, The Darcys and July Talk in Canada - New EP Set For Release Later This Year
With the success of the first single ‘Letterman,’ Canadian music fans are highly anticipating the release of Gay Nineties’ forthcoming EP Liberal Guilt, set for release later this year. Working with producer Scott Ternan (54-40, Sam Roberts) and mixing engineers Steve Bays (Hot Hot Heat, Mounties) and Ryan Dahle (Limblifter, Mounties), Gay Nineties have just finished tracking Liberal Guilt, which will highlight the work of the last 6 months in studio. Often described as a “best kept secret,” Gay Nineties have found themselves in high visibility; including accomplishments like being shortlisted as one of the Top 20 for the Peak Performance Project 2012, playing showcases at CMW, NXNE, New York City, a primer Canadian tour, a video premier on Much Music and sessions with XM/The Verge and Exclaim.ca... The single "Letterman" won the Best of BC Songwriting Contest, and has held position in Modern Rock Chart’s Top 20 for 6+ months, peaking at #3.
Advance copies of the 6 song EP Liberal Guilt will be available exclusively at the following early tour dates, as well as a vinyl 7" Single of "Letterman" and the EP’s second single, “Hold Your Fire,” (adds to radio on October 7th). Stay tuned for more in the coming months.
