AEROSMITH, SLASH & THE TREWS hit CAPE FEST 2014

Sydney, Cape Breton - Friday, September 12


One of the Greatest Rock and Roll Bands of all time, AEROSMITH will headline Cape Fest 2014 at Open Hearth Park in Sydney, NS on Friday, September 12. Special guests include, Slash with Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, The Trews, Slowcoaster and Breton Rock.

This will be the EXCLUSIVE Eastern Canadian date for AEROSMITH and the last stop on their “Let Rock Rule!” Summer Tour.
AEROSMITH have sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, and have no less than 21 top 40 singles on Billboard. Just last year the band’s main songwriters, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry received the ASCAP Founders Award and they were officially inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Fans can look forward to the band performing some of their classic hits, along with selections off their latest album, Music from Another Dimension at this year’s mega festival.

Slash
Joining AEROSMITH at Cape Fest 2014, is Guns N Roses original Slash, featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. Time Magazine named Slash one of the top 10 electric guitar players in the world. His solo in Guns N Roses single, “November Rain” is ranked as one of 100 “Best Guitar Solos” in “Guitar World”. In 2012, he was inducted in the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” along with all the original members of Guns N Roses. Myles Kennedy was the lead vocalist and guitarist for the rock band, Alter Bridge, and is now currently the lead vocalist of Slash’s solo project. The Trews
East Coast favorites, The Trews will also be performing at the festival. Hailing from Nova Scotia, The Trews got their big break in 2002 when they won a contest with an Ontario based radio station, where they signed their 1st record deal. They have just released their 5th album, titled The Trews, which has already hit #3 on the Canadian charts. Their latest single, “Rise in the Wake” has already hit #11 on the Canadian Rock Chart.

The Festival
Festival organizers are gearing up to make it one of the best concerts and festivals that Cape Breton has seen in many years. One day camping is now available at a special price of $50.00 (including tax), and additional days (Thursday or Saturday) will be only $25 per night (including tax).

VIP tickets give you an up close and personal concert experience right beside the runway and stage, free parking ON SITE, a souvenir lanyard to hold your ticket, upgraded rest room facilities, along with upgraded concession stands, and a VIP entrance onto the grounds.
 

General Admission is all ages. Single small-sized folding chairs are permitted. Gates open at 2 p.m.
