NEWS: Chad VanGaalen To Release Shrink Dust April 29th in Canada on Flemish Eye

Chad VanGaalen is set to release Shrink Dusthis fifth album—on April 29th in Canada on Flemish Eye. The album will also be available everywhere else via Sub PopShrink Dust, featuring the songs “Where Are You?” and “Monster,” was produced by Chad VanGaalen at his Yoko Eno home studio in Calgary, Alberta.

You can now listen to “Where Are You?”, while watching a video featuring a compilation of miscellaneous unreleased animated clips Chad has drawn over the years.  Pitchfork premiered the track, and said it “features plenty of tension and warped-production sonics that have since become VanGaalen's calling card.”


Pre-orders of Shrink Dust via iTunes will receive an instant download of “Where Are You?” immediately. Pre-orders of the album through the Flemish Eye store will include a booklet of original artwork by Chad featuring crazy frisbee moves. Two new T-shirt designs featuring Chad’s artwork are also available to purchase with CD and LP bundles.

Chad will also hit the road this spring
 in support of Shrink Dust. The tour, beginning May 13th in Montreal, QC at Cabaret Mile End has 11 stops, all featuring Halifax’s guitar/drums duo Cousins. Please find a full list of tour dates below.
