The 19th annual Ha!ifax ComedyFest is pleased to announce that international touring comic, Orny Adams and stand-up comic and T.V. host, Greg Proops have been added to the event, April 23 - 26 in Halifax.

Named in the Hollywood Reporter as a favorite comedian to watch, Adams has written jokes for Jay Leno, Garry Shandling and many other top comedians. He has twice written for the annual Emmys Broadcast and has become the “go to” guy when a celebrity needs a funny line.

Adams has made several appearances on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno and has appeared on “The Late Show” with David Letterman. In 2010, Adams followed up his critically acclaimed debut comedy DVD/CD, Path Of Most Resistance with a powe
rful and poignant one hour special, “Orny Adams Takes The Third” which aired on Comedy Central. That same year, Adams performed alongside Steve Martin at the Montreal Comedy Festival receiving rave reviews for his performance and was called a “Stand-out act” by Hollywood Reporter.

With a comedy style that is unique, yet universally appealing, Adams’s tours have reached clubs, theatres, including the Staples Center in LA, colleges, corporate events, and festivals in Ireland, Australia, and South Africa.

Adams will be performing at the Gala Of Laughs Finale at the Spatz Theatre on Saturday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m.

San Francisco’s Greg Proops, The Proopdog, is best known for his unpredictable appearances on the hit TV show, “Whose Line is it Anyway?” Proops has a hit Podcast called “The Smartest Man in the World” and has recorded it live in Australia, New Zealand, Montreal, Edinburgh, Dublin, San Francisco, Oslo, Amsterdam, Austin, Cleveland, London, Paris and aboard a ship in the Caribbean.

As part of the Halifax ComedyFest, Proops will record a podcast live from the Company House on Friday, April 25 at 10 p.m. Tickets are $15 and will be available at the Company House.
