The Halifax Urban Folk Festival presents July Talk with Sam Cash and Scrapes at The Seahorse Tavern on Saturday, December 14th.

Toronto's July Talk returns to Halifax for the re-release of their self-titled debut album which now comes with four new tracks. The last year has been a busy one for the band which toured in the spring as openers for Sam Roberts and then Matt Mays and have been headlining their own shows throughout the summer and early fall.

Fronted by the dynamic duo of Peter Dreimanis and Leah Faye, July Talk is rapidly becoming the talk of Canadian independent music. This will be the band's third foray into Atlantic Canada, they previously sold out three shows at The Carleton Music Bar & Grill and made a memorable impression at Evolve 2013.

Direct support on the date will be from The Sam Cash Band (Sam is the son of Andrew Cash, once a punk rock pioneer and now a sitting member of parliament for the NDP). Local upstarts Scrape will open the show.

Doors are at 8 PM. Tickets available through TicketSwell - are $12.50 advanced, $15 at the door.
