TORONTO PUNK OUTFIT PUP RELEASES CHAOTIC VIDEO FOR “RESERVOIR”, CONTINUES “SO IT GOES” TOUR WITH HOLLERADO INCLUDING DATES WITH FUCKED UP AND BILLY TALENT, A PERFORMANCE AT CMJ, AND A HOMETOWN ALBUM RELEASE SHOW ON OCTOBER 17.  PREORDER PUP’S SELF-TITLED DEBUT ALBUM FROM ITUNES TODAY, RELEASED OCTOBER 8 ON ROYAL MOUNTAIN RECORDS. ALL TOUR DATES LISTED BELOW.

Toronto punk band PUP is a trainwreck on stage and their new video for “Reservoir” isn’t going to change that.  Just like the album track itself, the video is a ridiculous, self-destructive, shit-show gone awry. “It's two and a half minutes of face destroying, hand breaking, full contact free-for-all, climaxing in a full-blown, on-stage fatality,” says frontman Stefan Babcock. Infamous Toronto promoter Dan Burke has a cameo; that’s how you know things are going to get messy.

Taking the visceral energy and recklessness of a PUP gig to the extreme, directors Chandler Levack and Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux take cues from live videos of punk legends like Black Flag and Minor Threat. “They wanted to channel the same sort of rawness, except with more blood, gore, and glory,” says Babcock. “This video has it all: drunk Kids, crowd surfing, fake blood, real blood, destroyed gear… It's a total cluster-fuck and we love it.”

Supporting the upcoming release of their debut self-titled album, out October 8 on Royal Mountain Records, PUP is currently touring the nation with label-mates Hollerado and playing sets with Fucked Up and Billy Talent.  Recorded with legendary producer Dave Schiffman (Weezer, The Bronx, Rage Against The Machine, Mars Volta), PUP is chock full of the raw energy that makes up every live show, with many tracks recorded live off the floor.
