HPX Digital is an interactive event for digital creators that explores innovative trends in web, mobile, gaming, startups, design and marketing. The three day conference takes place October 23rd to 25th at the Atlantica Hotel during the Halifax Pop Explosion.
Startups are an important and vibrant part of the Halifax tech community. On the morning of HPX Digital will focus entirely on entrepreneurs with two tracks curated by Volta Labs. In Guild East, speakers Greg Poirier, Elizabeth MacAulay, Patrick Hankinson, and Bill Wilson will focus on startup operations. In Guild West, the focus is on startup strategy with speakers Thomas Rankin, Rob Begg, Tapajyoti (Tukan) Das, Tim Burke, Patrick Keefe, and Jevon MacDonald.
The sessions for each day are outlined HERE and feature speakers from companies such as Disney Research, Microsoft, Fantasy Interactive, and Youtube.
Atlantic Canadian companies and start-ups working in web, mobile, gaming, design and marketing will have a chance to promote their expertise with international information technology experts and buyers as part of HPX Digital’s International Program.
The international buyers program is funded in part through the Canada/Atlantic Provinces Agreement on International Business Development. The IBDA is a federal/provincial agreement between the Government of Canada (ACOA, Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada, and Industry Canada) and the four provincial governments in Atlantic Canada, designed to help Atlantic Canadian businesses enter, explore and succeed in international markets.
