 VANCOUVER INDIE-FOLK COLLECTIVE THE FUGITIVES ANNOUNCE NEW FULL-LENGTH ALBUM, EVERYTHING WILL HAPPEN, RELEASED OCTOBER 22 ON LIGHT ORGAN RECORDS.  WATCH THE NEW VIDEO FOR ALBUM TRACK “MY MY” TODAY.  CANADIAN TOUR DATES COMMENCE OCTOBER 11 AND ALL TOUR DATES ARE LISTED BELOW. 

It feels good to be home.  It feels even better to be home after eight years of touring, thousands of kilometers in cramped cars, and countless gas station sandwiches.  But, for singer/songwriter teammates Brendan McLeod and Adrian Glynn, when the opportunity to record three years’ worth of material with John Critchley (Dan Mangan, Elliot BROOD) appears, you have to pack up the car and head three thousand kilometers back to Toronto to record a new album.

Released October 22 on Light Organ Records, Everything Will Happen, is the full-length follow up to The Fugitives’ summer EP, Bigger Than Luck.  It finds duo of Glynn and McLeod maintaining their expansive folk instrumentation while narrowing the songwriting focus.  The result is their fullest sound to date, with the help of few friends of course. "While it's fun sitting around our living rooms writing horn lines with our mouths, it wouldn't sound too great on a recording," shrugs Glynn. "Thank God for talented friends."

One of several upcoming audio-visual collaborations between The Fugitives and director Randall Okita, the beautifully simple new video for album track “My, My” is a humble yet poignant introduction to Everything Will Happen. “’My My’ is a reflection on the difficulties of watching loved ones go through health problems, which seem to be even more frustrating because of how inevitable they are,” says McLeod. “Randall has a history of awesome conceptual shorts, and we felt like that style really fit the emotions in this tune."

When not touring as musicians, Glynn and McLeod are active pursuing other disciplines.  McLeod is an award winning novelist and former Canadian SLAM poetry champion, while Glynn is a working actor who received rave reviews for his role in Chelsea Hotel, a play based on the songs and poems of Leonard Cohen.  Their collective band is similarly eclectic, boasting prominent former members like Mark Berube and CR Avery.  The current arrangement of rotating cast members includes violin-looping prodigy Hannah Epperson, multi-instrumentalist Steve Charles, and renowned actor Benjamin Elliot.
