Evolve 2013 - The Guide, brought to you by Evolve HQ!

Shout Out Out Out Out- Evolve 2012 - 01

It's that time of year again!
The Evolve Festival is right around the corner and Noisography is here to bring you the best coverage and up to date info we can.

Tiffany and Michael will be heading up to the hill on Friday morning, and they'll be documenting the entire weekend. Depending on how great the signal works and how long batteries last, they'll be tweeting and instagramming as much of the fun as possible, for all of you at home.

When we get back, the uploading marathon will begin as they will unleash all photos and videos that they captured, while taking in the best festival experience on the East Coast of Canada.

We received word, from the Evolve Mothership this morning with a few helpful bits of information as well as some changes to the site, so we thought we would pass along the info, to make sure you're all up to speed.

So, finally! We have the schedule!
You can check it out on the Evolve site here: http://www.evolvefestival.com/schedule/friday-july-19th/
I am currently doing up my printable schedules, so they should be available by tomorrow afternoon.

We were also told about a few "random things" that HQ thought they should mention....
  • Did you know that Xavier Rudd will be performing two sets at Evolve? One Friday at 8pm and another Saturday at 3pm - both at the Sunflower Stage.
  • Some stages have been relocated this year. No, you’re not going crazy (or at least, not because of this).
  • Our awesome workshops will be held in the Village, meet at the Info Booth. Drop by and learn something!
  • Need to stretch? Try Morning Yoga at 10am at the Sunflower Stage Saturday and Sunday.
Evolve 2010 CAMP DIRT
And of course, here are a few gentle reminders....

What You Should Bring

  • Tents, lawn furniture and camp stoves.
  • Reusable containers and dishes.
  • Sunscreen. And use it!
  • Blankets / Sleeping Bag.
  • All your friends. And all their friends.
  • Flags and funky signs to let people know where you are in the campground.
  • All the positive energy that you’ve been saving up all year long.
What NOT to Bring

  • NO glass containers. Seriously – we want bare feet, not broken glass, and we’ll be checking at the gate.
  • NO charcoal BBQs. Propane camp stoves are ok at least 10ft from any tent or structure.
  • NO pets please. As always, plastic flamingos are welcome.
  • There are absolutely no fires or fireworks permitted on the site.
  • NO drugs. Security will be on site.
  • NO stress, bad vibes or attitude. Leave it in the city.

Please take head of the Green Pledge: 0% Waste Agenda!
Words from Evolve HQ

A three-day festival generates a lot of garbage. We all know that the best place for any recyclable material is the recycling plant or being re-used or repurposed, and not in a landfill site or incinerator. Evolve will again be asking your help in undertaking the ambitious effort to produce a festival that generates zero waste. That’s right – we said ZERO WASTE. We need your help!

At the festival, keep your eyes peeled for 50 colour-coded recycling stations conveniently located throughout the Evolve grounds. Our recycling stations make it really easy to properly dispose of paper, plastic, garbage, compost and recyclable cans and bottles. Additionally, our beloved food vendors will be adopting the zero waste initiative in the Awareness Village food court, as well as backstage.

and here are some quick links for you, to make sure you have the best Evolve yet!
