Made up of friends Noel MacDonald (Long Weekends), Andrew Neville, Stephanie Johns (The Stolen Minks), Graeme Stewart (Monomyth) and Jaime Forsythe, Moon is informed by German rock of the 1960s and the full spectrum of pop music. Heavy rhythms are tempered by airy guitar and flute solos on their debut recording, released on experimental imprint Dub Ditch Picnic Records (
Recorded February/March 2013 with Charles Austin at the Echo Chamber, the four-song album takes a step away from punk roots and explores ambience, UK influenced post-punk and neoclassical themes. Indulgent? You bet. Icy cool? Hopefully.
