Montreal/Halifax’s Gabrielle Papillon will hit the road this spring in continued support of her new East Coast Music Award nominated album, Little Bug. With pipes that sound part Laura Marling and part Feist, the singer-songwriter recently performed at Canadian Music Week with several Quebec, and Ontario tour dates to follow (listed below).

Gabrielle is equipped with an acoustic guitar, a dulcet voice, and a smile that could tell a story. The folky sound on Little Bug is perfectly complimented by Papillon’s unique voice that is at once both soft, and ethereal, soaring wistfully above her guitar chords in songs like Go Into the Night and title track Little Bug.  Whether she’s playing cozy hometown clubs or large venues, Gabrielle engages her audience with an intimate and emotionally driven show that is truly captivating.

Gabrielle has showcased at Folk Alliance, East Coast Music Week, Ontario Council of Folk Festivals, Halifax Pop Explosion, Pop Montreal, Canadian Music Week, North by Northeast, Nova Scotia Music Week, and more. She was also a finalist in the Open category for Ottawa Folk Festival’s One Fret Less Award in 2010 and a regional finalist in the International category for the 2012 Mountain Stage Newsong competition.
