Edgefest ‘13 is set to return to Toronto with 17 acts already confirmed to perform at Downsview Park on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Mainstage headliners will include The Lumineers, Band of Horses, Monster Truck, Mother Mother, The Neighbourhood, Dinosaur Bones, Wake Owl and July Talk. Capital Cities will headline the side stage which is packed with some of the hottest up and coming artists from Canada and around the globe including Twin Forks, Great Bloomers, Hey Marseilles, You Won’t, Imaginary Cities, Lucius and The Treble.

“Edgefest is more than an institution,” said Ross Winters, Program Director, 102.1 the Edge, “it is an annual rite of passage for those who want to rock. This year's show takes it to an astonishing level. It’s the best Edgefest ever!”

"Edgefest and summer go to together like bacon and tomatoes and is just as tasty," said Elliott Lefko the Goldenvoice talent buyer behind Edgefest.

Edgefest began as a one-time event to celebrate the 10th birthday of 102.1 the Edge, Toronto’s leading modern new rock station. After such an incredible success, Edgefest turned into an annual staple for music enthusiasts. For the past 20 years, Edgefest has featured the biggest names in new rock such as Billy Talent, Rise Against, A Perfect Circle, AFI, Tool, Radiohead, Green Day, Blur, Our Lady Peace, Linkin Park, Stone Temple Pilots and hundreds of other major label and indie acts.

The 2013 Edgefest headliners are:
The Lumineers

Since the release of their debut album in April 2012, The Lumineers have been a staple at every major festival. The roots revival of the last few years has primed listeners for a new generation of rustic, heart-on-the-sleeve music—the kind that nods to tradition while setting off into uncharted territory. The Lumineers walk that line with an unerring gift for timeless melodies and soul-stirring lyrics. Powered by passion, ripened by hard work, The Lumineers have found their sound when the world needs it most. http://thelumineers.com/
