Nick Ferrio & His Feelings has announced a series of tour dates this spring in support of their Greg Keelor (Blue Rodeo) produced 7" (available now on Seventh Fire Records).
The
7” release is a follow-up to the band's successful, self-titled debut
album (Shuffling Feet Records). The two songs were produced by Greg
Keelor of Blue Rodeo and recorded by engineer James McKenty. With Keelor's guidance, Nick Ferrio & His Feelings, along with pedal-steel guitarist Aaron Goldstein (City & Colour, Daniel Romano), recorded the tracks at Keelor's Farm in Southern Ontario in early December 2012.
The A-side, “Half The Time,”
is a psychological thriller, exploring one man's realization that his
love is unrequited and only exists within the confines of his fallible
mind. The B-side, “Other Side of Town,” examines what happens
when love fades and jealousy takes root. Inspired by Porter Wagoner's
ballads found in a posthumous collection entitled The Rubber Room,
and Musicor-era George Jones, Nick Ferrio & His Feelings have
recreated the timeless quality of the golden era of country balladry in
both writing and performance.
