Featured Artist of the Week: Old Blood

"Old Blood is a four-piece band from Halifax, NS, that draws its inspiration from grunge, alternative, and heavy rock. The band formed in early 2011 when guitarist Lloyd Smith (Shelter With Thieves) joined guitarist/lead vocalist Trevor DeSouza and drummer Cory Leach (both formerly of Saint Ray Satellite), and bass player Josh White (formerly of the audience).

Old Blood is steadily building its fan base around Atlantic Canada and has been impressing audiences with its raw, loud, energetic live show. They've shared the stage with a mix of notable East Coast acts including The Motorleague, We're Doomed, Stone Mary, Three Sheet, and Jon Epworth. Their debut album, Ruins (April 2012) has received great reviews and the band has proven that there is definitely room for Old Blood in the new guard.
