SONIC CONCERTS PRESENTS
BILLY TALENT WITH SUM 41, HOLLERADO & INDIAN HANDCRAFTS
IN MONCTON & HALIFAX, APRIL 15 & 16

Following a series of headlining European dates, Billy Talent have added two new dates to the long-awaited Canadian leg of their Dead Silence Tour, including Casino New Brunswick in Moncton on Monday, April 15 and the Cunard Centre in Halifax on Tuesday, April 16.  Joining the band for the entire tour are special guests Sum 41, Hollerado and Indian Handcrafts.

Released in September, Billy Talent’s fourth studio album, Dead Silence, became the band’s third consecutive release to enter the Canadian album sales charts at #1 and fourth consecutive album to be certified gold. Dead Silence also made impressive debuts around the world.  The record debuted  at #1 in Germany which is the second time the band has topped the German charts (Billy Talent II debuted at #1 while the band’s third album debuted at #2).  The record also bowed in at #2 in Austria, #3 in Switzerland, #12 in Finland and #23 in the U.K.  The album was recorded in Vancouver, Los Angeles and Toronto and is the band’s first self-produced record with guitarist Ian D’sa taking overseeing the recording from the producer’s chair.

“It’s all about the energy, fire, charisma and passion as they tear through crowd-pleasing anthems”
Kerrang Magazine (U.K.)

Dead Silence has already produced two hit singles at Rock radio in Canada.  “Viking Death March,” originally released as an album teaser for fans, was quickly embraced by radio and became the band’s 6th Top 5 song at Rock Radio.  The current single, “Surprise Surprise” is making its own way up the radio charts where it currently sits at #5 at Rock Radio while continuing to gain in airplay.

Since finishing the recording of Dead Silence, Billy Talent have spent the past few months playing some of Europe’s biggest rock festivals and more recently, headlining a major European tour that took them throughout the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Norway and Finland as well as two dates in Russia.
