NEWS: Canadian Music Fest Presents a New Songwriters' Workshop in Halifax & Now Excepting Band Submissions!
"Presented by Astral Radio, in association with Canadian Music Week,
you will learn first-hand the art of writing a hit lyric, how to break
into licensing for film and TV, and understand the role of SOCAN and
revenue streams. Hear from platinum-selling and multiple-award winning
songwriters Tom Wilson, Arnold Lanni, Rick Jackett and James Black along
with industry specialists in the field of music publishing and music
supervision as they lead the workshop, listen to demos and participate
in a Q&A.
Each Workshop has a limited capacity so register today!!"
Admission is $40 in advance, $60 at
the door. Songwriters can register online in advance at www.radiostar.ca for the
workshop.

Music Fest is a once-in-a-year opportunity to get your band in front of over
3000 industry insiders - from A&R reps and music publishers to booking
agents, promoters, festival directors and talent buyers from all around the

Taking
place March 19-24, 2013 during Canadian Music Week (and directly after SXSW)

Now in its 31st year, Canadian Music Week is recognized as one of the premier entertainment events in North America focusing on the business of music. For artists, it is a chance to learn and network with pros from all sectors of the industry who are at your disposal with the tools and knowledge to build your career in music. With panels, keynotes/celebrity interviews, mentoring sessions, speed-dating, workshops, film premieres, award shows, networking opportunities, an international marketplace, an artist lounge, and newly launched in 2012, the Canadian International Comedy Fest, Canadian Music Week is your one–stop music destination to the world.
