STARS 'THE NORTH' DEBUTS #5 IN CANADA &TOP 50 IN THE U.S. 
MARKS STARS HIGHEST CHART DEBUT OF THEIR CAREER

STARS have seen heavy praise from both sides of the border heaped upon the release of their newest album, The North out the beginning of this month on Soft Revolution Records in Canada and ATO Records in the U.S.  The North marks the best offering from the band to date, not only in the eyes of the critics, but in the eyes of the music buying public and the fans, earning the group a #5 debut spot on the Top 200 Soundscan Album Chart and #3 on the Digital Albums Chart in Canada – both milestones are the highest debuts for the band of their career. They additionally earn a Top 50 Album Chart debut in the U.S.
STARS recorded an MTV LIVE performance in Toronto, Wednesday September 12, and they stopped by THE EDGE Radio studios for a special performance with DJ Dave Bookman, as well. STARS were also confirmed to appear on CBC Radio’s Q with Jian Ghomeshi on Friday September 14th. 
STARS will tour in the U.S. starting later this month, and across Canada in November with METRIC on a run of arena dates.
