NEWS: PEI'S NORTH LAKES ANNOUCE TOUR DATES WITH TWO HOURS TRAFFIC TO SUPPORT NEW RELEASE 'GRAND PRIX'

Prince Edward Island garage rockers North Lakes have announced they're playing a slew of tour dates to support their new LP, Grand Prix. Their 11-stop tour will include dates with Two Hours Traffic and takes them across Ontario and the East Coast, and with a showcase at Halifax Pop Explosion on October 18th!
 

Based in Charlottetown, North Lakes have pulled in some incredible, homegrown talent to work on Grand Prix. The album was recorded in a church at Long Creek, PEI by Adam Gallant, who has worked with artists like Boxer the Horse, The Danks, Al Tuck, Paper Lions and many more. The album was produced by Paper Lions guitarist, Colin Buchanan.

Grand Prix is an impressive evolution in North Lakes' sound. Drawing from 60s garage rock and pop, the album possesses an unrestrained and infectious energy that promises to get audiences across Canada up and dancing. Sound Vat described Grand Prix as "a clear demonstration of how a band that knows how they want to sound can blend fifty decades into something all their own." Their previous release Cobra earned the band an Music PEI Award for Best Alternative Album in 2011. Since then, North Lakes have been performing steadily throughout the Maritimes and showcasing at industry events such as the East Coast Music Awards and Canadian Music Week.

North Lakes will be playing Halifax Pop Explosion on October 18th, at the Seahorse Tavern in Halifax. Don't miss an opportunity to see this incredible band work their magic.
