NEWS: Eliza & The Strange Change Name To 'Bloody Diamonds' And Release New Video

What started as a musical pet project quickly grew into a full fledged band and after a successful 21 date eastern Canadian Tour as well as a debut album released on vinyl and CD via Strange Blood Records, Halifax rock-quartet ELIZA AND THE STRANGE have decided to rename as BLOODY DIAMONDS. The band has issued the following statement about the change:

"We're changing our name to Bloody Diamonds because we are a collective and want to be known as such. After being together for a year and touring our album, it was obvious that the name change was a necessary step in our plans."

To coincide with the name change BLOODY DIAMONDS has also released a brand new music video for their song 'Baby Don't Be Nice' which can be found below. The band is also currently working on their second Eastern Canadian Tour as well as writing new material for the follow up to their 2012 self-titled album.

About Bloody Diamonds

With a natural edge and riffs that kill, Bloody Diamonds is a four-piece hard rock band from Halifax. The release of their first record in March 2012 was followed by an extensive 21-date tour across Eastern Canada, leaving their spook rock tunes ringing in everyone’s ears. Formerly known as Eliza and The Strange, the young group has covered a lot of ground since their first show in June 2011. The name change in May 2012 was a statement of collectiveness as the band grew into its skin.

Bloody Diamonds’ music has been spreading through North America like wildfire and has begun to infect the UK with album reviews and radio play. Their musical skills, stage presence and songwriting are frequently said to be well beyond their years. With new material and a second Eastern Canada tour in the works, Bloody Diamonds has a very promising future ahead.
