Way, way off the beaten path, in Conquerall Mills, about 20 minutes outside of the town of Bridgewater, an eclectic gathering of bands had wormed their way into the small community's firehall for an evening of all ages entertainment.
Having grown up just around the corner from the venue, I won't lie, I was really quite surprised when I heard that this show was happening – Bridgewater and the surrounding areas are not exactly known for putting on the best rock shows, but this one blew the top off this small town hall!

With a fantastic light show (courtesy
of Dylan Allen) and a good crew of people calling the shots - Hip
Hop, Surf, Metal and Alternative Rock were all represented, in one
tiny space. The turn out was fantastic! I wish I had shows like this
to go to when I was in high school.
The talent from all five bands was
apparent – Yea, Girl! and Hello, Click warmed up the
crowd and by the time The Green Reflectors hit and well, flew
off, the floor everyone was in high spirits.
I'm pretty sure Planetate ripped
Conquerall Mills a new one – not sure the community has heard
anything that brutal and raw since, well – ever. By the time First to Fall walked out on the floor everyone was busting at the
seams, so sing along with their local favorite.
As the show came to an end, it was
apparent, - the small towns in and around Bridgewater, are starving
for good live music. I hope the success of this show, leads the way
for more to come in the very near future.
