LIBRARY VOICES ON TOUR IN NORTH AMERICA TODAY

Library Voices landed a luxurious four weeks off, after finishing a massive three-month North American tour at the end of 2011. Though the band are back on the road as of today (March 8), set to cross North America again including several key plays at SXSW, Library Voices lyricist and multi-instrumental Michael Dawson used the band’s brief downtime to pursue other artistic endeavours including a new music project called Vaults with noted hip hop producer Factor; showing a body of original paintings along with fellow LV'er Amanda Scandrett; continued his work on a book of short stories and took to directing a selection of videos for local Regina musicians and friends, The Lazy MKs www.thelazymks.bandcamp.comErin Passmore www.erinpassmore.com and Northcote www.northcotemusic.com

The Lazy MKs are readying to release a series of double A side singles this year. Each release will feature an instrumental original and a collaborative track that will feature such songwriters as Carl Johnson of Library VoicesBelle Plaine, and Andy Shauf
The Dawson-directed video for Erin Passmores solo album track, Monster will be finished and available soon. Erin’s debut solo Downtown EP was recently reviewed by the Globe and Mail with a resounding endorsement: “(she) longs like Feist, she wonders like Joni, she rocks the boat but doesn’t tip it over. Such promise here.”
The Northcote video for track, Not A Home is also in its final editing stages is a gorgeous, richly colour-saturated story line to accompany an equally beautiful song.
Library Voices are back on tour, in support of their critically adored, 2011 released, second album Summer Of Lust. The band is nominated for an Indie Award for Alternative Group of the Year. The awards take place over Canadian Music Fest in Toronto at the end of March. http://indies.ca/
