NEWS: SONIC CONCERTS PRESENTS WILDLIFE AT MICHAEL’S BAR AND GRILL, MARCH 30

Energetic Ontario five-piece rock band Wildlife are coming to Halifax for a performance at Michael’s Bar and Grill on Friday, March 30.  Special guests are Teenage Kicks and Glory Glory.

Wildlife’s debut Strike Hard, Young Diamond focuses on furthering an understanding of what it is to be naïve and full of spark.  The band says, “It embraces our failures, nurtures our successes; and most importantly, it celebrates it.”

"It’s fast-strummed, passionately delivered indie rock, and when the gang vocals and reverb roll in, as in opener Stand In The Water, a punkier Arcade Fire comes to mind" -Now Magazine

"…bold, full of angst...filled with youthful exuberance and affirming righteousness..." -Exclaim Magazine

"Every single track here is amazing, crackling with an urgency and a vibrancy that brings to mind albums like Apologies to the Queen Mary, A Lesson In Crime or Shine A Light." –iheartmusic

With a new EP, Be on My Side, due out March 2, Teenage Kicks, including vocalist/guitarist Peter Van
Helvoort, bassist Jeff Van Helvoort, drummer Cameron Brunt and
guitarists Pat Marchent and Christian Turner, satisfy all aspects of
the rock spectrum.  Hailing from Toronto, the quintet celebrates their unabashed love for
classic rock bands like The Who and Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Halifax’s Glory Glory is an indie-pop trio balancing daring, spaced-out instrumentation with pop hooks and spastic grooves.   Since the band's humble beginning in 2006 as "Adam Warren and DDT," Glory Glory have shared stages with Canadians across the musical and geographical spectrum, touring and recording relentlessly.

Tickets are $13.99 in advance and $16.99 day of show (including tax and service charge).  Tickets go on sale this Friday, Feb. 3 at 10 a.m., exclusively at www.sonicconcerts.com.  This show is restricted to ages 19+ with valid ID and doors open at 9:30 p.m.
