NEWS: Light Organ Records signs The Matinée.

Light Organ Records is proud to announce the signing of Vancouver based band, The Matinée.

In 2011, The Matinée placed third in the Peak Performance Project, second in the The Shore 104.3 Song Search competition and earned themselves three BCCMA nominations (Group/Duo of the Year, Roots/Canadiana Awards and Website of the Year).

In the past year they have played for over 20,000 students through their involvement with the B.C. Artstarts Program and the B.C. Schizophrenia Society's Reachout Tour. CBC Radio 3 named The Matinée as one of the Top 10 acts to watch out for in 2012.

The Matinée is currently in the studio working on their first full length debut on Light Organ Records, due for release later in 2012. Watch a short introduction video of the band recording their album here.
