NEWS: Halifax's The Stanfields Announce Tour Dates with The Trews and Canadian Music Week Showcases

CURRENTLY IN THE STUDIO WORKING ON SOPHOMORE RELEASE WITH PRODUCER MIKE FRASER (AC/DC, METALLICA)

 The Stanfields have lots in store for you this spring! They will break from their studio sessions for the follow up to their debut album, Vanguard of the Young and Reckless, to tour Ontario and showcase at South by Southwest 2012 and Canadian Music Week 2012. The Nova Scotia-based band, known for their raucous live-show and aggressive, Celtic-inspired brand of punk, have been touring steadily since the release of their debut in June of 2010.

Their hard work has paid off, as The Stanfields nabbed the attention of producer Mike Fraser to produce the forthcoming LP. The Stanfields are hard at work on their as-yet-untitled sophomore album. Two-time Juno award winning producer, Mike Fraser, who has worked on material from artists like Loverboy, AC/DC and Metallica, will be sure to bring the edgiest Stanfields material yet.

The band will play a few Maritime dates before heading to Austin, Texas to showcase at South by Southwest 2012.  The Stanfields then play in London with the Trews in late March. After wrapping up in London, The Stanfields will be headed down to Toronto to play a Canadian Music Week showcases at The Rivoli and The Hideout on March 24th.

The Stanfields' new album is slated for a release in the summer/fall of 2012. Fans who preorder are given a variety of packages from which to choose and can even pay for the band to perform an in-home acoustic concert.
