I arrived around 9pm, the place was filling up quick. Long hair, beards and tats were abundant. I hadn’t seen a drum kit with that many cymbals in a while, I’m pretty sure everyone was hit at least once during the show.
The music started around 10:30pm with the first of three bands called Black City Avenger. Next was Oceans Will Rise and Armada Drive closed it out somewhere around the 1:30-2 mark? It was my first time seeing any of these bands and I enjoyed the steady flow of hard rock/heavy tunes all night. A shout out to the people who let me stash my coat & pitcher while I walked around.
Tonight also had a message, FUCF- F#$@ You Cystic Fibrosis. All cover charge was being donated to a friend of the bands battling the disease. They also had a donation box set up.
Great music and cheap beer for a worthy cause; now that’s a good way to spend a Friday night.
