NEWS: Klarka Weinwurm previews material from Continental Drag on East Coast tour this January

Klarka Weinwurm tours throughout the East Coast this January to preview material from her forthcoming album, Continental Drag. The album is set to be released by Calgary's Saved by Vinyl in 2012. Dates are as follows:

January 12 - Moncton, NB - Plan B (w/ Olivier Jarda, Look Look)
January 14 - Fredericton, NB - The Capital (w/ Long Weekends, Look Look)
January 15 - Halifax, NS - Gus' Pub (w/ Quaker Parents, Look Look)

In the cold month of February, 2011, Klarka Weinwurm and some friends began work on her new album at The Old Confidence Lodge in Riverport, NS. Piecing together nine songs of a quiet might, the resulting Continental Drag is an accomplished step forward for the young artist.

The material finds Weinwurm sidestepping the quieter tendencies of her past work. The songs are full of driving melodies and creaking choruses. Guitars ring out over the chug of a finely honed rhythm section. All the while, Weinwurm's unmistakable voice confidently guides the way.

Continental Drag follows Weinwurm's acclaimed debut, EP.
