NEWS: SONIC CONCERTS presents KEVIN SMITH and JASON MEWES in JAY & SILENT BOB GET OLD in Halifax, DEC. 12

After a sold out appearance in Halifax last week, multimedia cult icon Kevin Smith will return with Jason Mewes for the Jay & Silent Bob Get Old show at the Spatz Theatre (Citadel High) on Monday, Dec. 12 at 8 p.m.

Known for their reoccurring roles as Jay and Silent Bob in “Clerks,” “Mallrats,” “Dogma,” “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back” and “Clerks 2,” Smith and Mewes have developed a chart topping podcast based around their legendary characters.  The podcast regularly charts in the top spot on iTunes Comedy and the duo have taken it on the road, telling their stories to audiences at festivals, clubs and theatres around the world.

With a number of critically acclaimed hit movies, Smith has spent almost two decades infiltrating the entertainment industry on almost every level with his company View Askew Productions.  Most recently he released the independent horror movie "Red State" featuring John Goodman.  He has also written a series of comics, interviewed celebrities for a variety of media outlets and now hosts another regular podcast entitled SModcast with long time friend and business partner Scott Mosier on SIR, Smodcast Internet Radio.

Tickets are $64.50 for P1, $59.50 for P2 and $54.50 for P3 and go on sale Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 10 a.m., exclusively at www.sonicconcerts.com.  This show is open to all ages and doors open at 7:30 p.m.
