“…a 12-track slab of Sugar that picks up where the band left off in 2003, with Johnson’s monster guitar and vox, Kelly (Mr. Chill) Hoppe’s sweet sax and harmonica, and the solid and funky rhythm section fitting back together seemingly effortlessly, like the reunion itself has been.”
– Calgary Herald

Big Sugar is Gordie Johnson (guitar, vocals), Garry Lowe (bass), Kelly “Mr. Chill” Hoppe (harmonica, sax, melodica), Friendlyness (keyboards, toasting) and Stephane “Bodean” Beaudin (drums). The five-piece band will perform songs from the new album as well as fan favourites. Big Sugar rose to popularity in the early 90s and their album Five Hundred Pounds was certified GOLD. They went on to release five albums before disbanding in 2003.

Wide Mouth Mason returned with their latest release No Bad Days this past July. Adding Gordie Johnson on bass, the 'live off the floor' album features "Shut Up & Kiss Me" and the Chris Robinson penned “Go Tell It To The Waterfall” which has a guest performance from Faces keyboardist Ian McLagan.
