Monotonix @ the Paragon

In a few hours time, the Paragon Theater may or may not have it's proverbial roof torn off – despite January weather and broken winter budgets, several hundred Haligonians are prepared to do battle with a band know as Montonix – Isreal's 3 man rock and roll wrecking crew. Having create an enormous post-show buzz following last year's Pop Explosion, well, explosion, at Gus' Pub, we can only hope that the band has something even bigger somehow prepared for tonight's larger, substantially more hyped Paragon show.

Local favorites A History Of lead in the show before that, still fresh off the release of their newest Long Player, Action in the North Atlantic. Their last show at the Paragon was tight and snappy, and tonight's performance will no doubt be just as good, with the crowd hopefully sufficiently warm from the stinging metal riffs of Black Moor. I haven't seen the band yet despite hearing many good things, so I'm looking forward to 3 fantastic bands packed into one killer weekend. Tickets are still available at the door at last confirmation, for $15.
