KUATO - http://kuatoband.bandcamp.com/ - Weaving together intricate movements, emotive melodies and subtle timbres of eerie aggression, Kuato crafts each song of their repertoire into a post-rock instrumental opus.

Taking their cue from post-rock pioneers such as Mogwai, Explosions In The Sky, Pelican and Do Make Say Think, the Halifax-based band meticulously sculpts their music into life-like sonic narratives that pulsate and breathe with every note.

THE WIDES - http://thewides.bandcamp.com/ - The Wides were born out of necessity and tradition. In a post-9/11 attempt to release aggression in a harmless and beautiful way, The Wides make music that is conducive to pumping fists and swilling beer. Three of its five members have been playing together since the ninth grade, back in the bustling metropolis of Westville, Nova Scotia, where it all started. Needless to say, all of the anguish and angst that goes along with that time period in one's life has been carried as baggage throughout the years and is now on full display in the music of the Wides.
